Job Growth for a Strong Economy
Job growth is the bedrock of our state’s economy, impacting not only your household budget and lifestyle, but also the state’s ability to provide public services like education, transportation, and health care. Higher-paying jobs, lower prices for household goods and services, and more career options for workers are all dependent on a flourishing business sector.
Minnesota’s hard-working, highly educated workforce has historically made it an attractive place to start and grow a business. Unfortunately, bureaucratic red tape and too-high taxes are limiting our potential for growth, and even driving some investments to other states. Locally owned independent businesses and workers are the ones who suffer most under these policies.
I’ve fought to make Minnesota a leader in job growth, consistently advocating for policies that would encourage new investment and innovation. These policies would give workers better career advancement opportunities, raise wages, and increase benefits. Jobs and economic growth will continue to be a priority for me at the Capitol.
